Buddy Scalera Releases Third Comic Artist’s Photo Reference Book

Comics writer, editor and photographer, Buddy Scalera has a new book out: Comic Artist’s Photo Reference: Men and Boys. Like the first two books in the CAPR series, this one includes over 1,000 reference photos, a CD-ROM of bonus materials and features work by professional artists David Hahn, Rafael Kayana, Mike Lilly and Mark Smylie, who show you how to use reference photos to create top comic book art.

With all the insights and material for mastering every nuance of gesture, form and facial expression, CAPR: Men and Boys is like having real, live superheroes in your studio (except they won’t need to leave to go fight crime).

    That looks like a great book, as are the others, however, it’s a somewhat creepy title… ha ha.
