Looking for some encouragement? How about this: Even Tim Burton, the director of Beetlejuice and The Nightmare Before Christmas, received rejection letters in his early career. A few years before Disney hired Burton as a concept artist on The Fox and the Hound and The Black Cauldron, they politely (but firmly) rejected a children’s book idea that he submitted for review.
