DC Celebrating 25 Years of Harley Quinn

Harley Quinn has long been a big character for DC. This year DC is celebrating 25 years of the quirky character. Harley has gone through many different versions over the years between the many comic books, the video games and the live-action version in Suicide Squad. I’ve always loved the Harley Quinn from Batman: The Animated Series though. Her character was well written and the harlequin design was perfect.

DC is releasing a new collection of stories with a big hardcover edition. Harley Quinn: A Celebration of 25 Years will have writing from Paul Dini, Karl Kesel, Amanda Conner, Jimmy Palmiotti, and Rob Williams; and art by Bruce Timm, Jim Lee, Terry Dodson, Amanda Conner, and many more. The book will be 400 pages and comes out this September.

25 years of Harley Quinn

There are a ton of Harley Quinn and Batman collectibles already but it looks like there are a couple special anniversary collectibles coming out this fall too, both in the style of the animated series.

There is supposedly a Gotham City Sirens live-action film coming out eventually and I’m just crossing my fingers that the interesting relationship between Harley and Poison Ivy is shown. Harley and the Joker have a pretty tumultuous relationship to say the least. It would be great to see the Harley and Poison Ivy relationship shown on the big screen.
