Spectrum Fantastic Art Live Event Happening This Weekend

The Spectrum books showcase a lot of amazing talent in the art world. Some IMPACT authors (Stephanie Pui-Mun Law, Abigail Larson, William O’Connor) have even been featured in the books over the years! So far the series has put out 24 gorgeous editions of books packed full of gorgeous science fiction, fantasy and contemporary illustrations. This weekend is the Spectrum Fantastic Art Live event. Though the event is still relatively new, being only in its sixth year, it has been attracting attendees into the thousands. It’s a great weekend for artists, lovers of art and people in the industry to see, connect and get inspired. The convention takes place in the Kansas City Convention Center in Missouri. Over one hundred artists will be at the event showcasing their art. Saturday night the official awards for the next edition of Spectrum will be announced. It promises to be a weekend full of fun and beautiful art. You can still buy tickets for the event at the door so if you’re in the area make sure to check it out! Tickets are just $15 for 3 days of art fun. They just announced some of the programming that will be at the convention including a late night life drawing session, a panel about living as an artist and a panel with Brom and Laurie Lee Brom about living and working together as married artists.
