Cincinnati’s Super Edifice: The Hall of Justice

The Super Friends : The JLA :: The Hall of Justice : Union Terminal

Give a shout-out to Cincinnati, Ohio, IMPACT fans! The mid-size, midwestern rivertown is home to both IMPACT Books and Union Terminal, the humongous, half-atrium, art deco train station built during the Great Depression and inspiration to the classic ’70s cartoon Super Friends’ team headquarters: the Hall of Justice.

IMPACT would like to thank Cincinnati Enquirer writer Alex Shebar for reminding the Queen City masses of the bygone building connection in yesterday’s edition. Good news can happen in our fair land.

In fact, the cartoon Hall of Justice connects to Porkopolis in more ways than one. In 1984, the former locally-based company Kenner Toys released its line of Super Friends toys. Buy the vintage Hall of Justice playset on eBay or just watch the classic commercial on YouTube.
