First Issue Comic Books Used in Paperboy Sculpture

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure… these words couldn’t be more true for artist Andrew Vickers after he discovered that his sculpture, named Paperboy, was made out of a variety of valuable comic books. He only realized this after the sculpture was made when comic fan, Steve Eyre, pointed out that the first edition of The Avengers was plastered onto Paperboy‘s leg.

In total the sculpture, in great thanks to the comic books, is worth $30,000! Talk about a one-of-a-kind discovery, especially since Vickers found all of these comics in an abandoned flat!
