Fan Creates Batman Armor Thanks to 3D Printing

3D printing has definitely come a long way. The technology is incredible and more and more people are finding creative ways to use it. Stevie Dee of Crimson Coscrafts now has his very own 3D printed Batsuit, and it is awesome. Dee collaborated with Tundra Designs and Gauntlet FX to get the pieces printed and finished.

Dee used his 3D skills to create and design the 3D model of the suit, based on the design from the Batman: Arkham Origins video game. Dee chose the darker coloring of the “Dark Knight” skin from the game, as he told 3D print when asked about the suit. Each of the printed pieces come together perfectly to create the whole suit of armor. It’s a very impressive suit! This technology is taking cosplay to the next level.

With 3D printing tech becoming more widely accessibly, I’m sure we’ll see more creative uses of the technology like this. Cosplayers will definitely use it for costumes and props! I’m still a fan of the intricate hand-made stuff, but 3D printing will absolutely make the creation of some pieces easier and even more accurate to the original designs.
