By now you probably know that Stranger Things season 2 is out. Maybe you, like me, had a solid full day marathon to absorb all nine episodes. Episode seven of the show, The Lost Sister, showed us another character from the Hawkins lab who had powers. She and Eleven team up briefly, combining their powers. Does this remind anyone of another franchise? A team of young kids with powers, perhaps known as the X-Men?
Whether the Duffer brothers meant to hint at the X-Men or not, some fans have definitely made the jump. One fan is an artist known as Boss Logic. He has created some amazing Stranger Things fan art that imagines the kids in the show as X-Men characters. Seeing Eleven as an X-Men character makes perfect sense, of course, since she has powers, but the other characters fir the new personas as well.
Stranger Things fan art so far has been really creative. Fans have created amazing drawings, hilarious cosplays, sculptures and more. Crossovers are a great way to show your love for a show or character. With all the references in Stranger Things to nerdy things like Dungeons and Dragons, arcade games, comic books, Ghostbusters and more, it’s no wonder that Boss Logic made his crossover fan art with another popular nerdy franchise.
Stranger Things Fan Art Imagines a New Team of X-Men
Boss Logic does a great job not just in illustrating the Stranger Things fan art, but also in matching up the characters and their powers. It makes perfect sense that Eleven would be illustrated as Jean Gray’s Phoenix, a powerful mutant still learning her powers. Mike is a great Cyclops, leading the team.
