Trek Nation: The Life of Gene Roddenberry

Few franchises have ever been able to reach the same level of epicness that Star Trek blew the world away with from one generation to the next. Trek Nation is the latest endeavor to unearth (or maybe unspace?) the life of Gene Roddenberry, the man who breathed life into Star Trek.

Major kudos goes out to Eugene “Rod” Roddenberry, the son of the creator of Star Trek, as he ventures out on his own quest to discover who the real Gene was and the legacy he left behind. Taking a camera crew with him, Rod interviews everyone from everyday fans to J.J. AbramsNichelle NicholsPatrick Stewart and an entire host of scientists. There’s no doubt that Star Trek has become important to so many people and, if this preview is any indication, I can’t wait to see Trek Nation.

So, if you’re equally as obsessed with fantasy worlds as I am, then check out OtherWorlds and Drawing & Painting Fantasy Worlds to learn how to draw Star Trek-like beings.
