The Awesome Sidewalk Art of Lucasfilm Employees

Pretty much everyone has played with sidewalk chalk at some point in their lives. Some of the best days of summer were spent scribbling sidewalk art with those huge chalky crayons. Admittedly my sidewalk art was never as impressive as the stuff created by these Lucasfilm employees, but it was still fun to make!

Apparently the Lucasfilm has an annual Sidewalk Art Festival that challenges the employees to get outside and create art. There’s a lot of creativity and definitely some impressive art! The many art squares are judged and prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place as well as the best squares with Star Wars, Disney and Indiana Jones art. Now this is a competition I can get behind. I love the theme. Plus playing with sidewalk chalk is fun and something that everyone can use. The amount of detail in some of these pieces is really impressive.

That Van Gogh art with Darth Vader is just completely perfect. I love the combo. The Frozen one with Olaf on Hoth is funny. It’s pretty clear that these employees had fun creating these squares. Check out the full event page for more info and photos from the event.
